Privacy Policy
This page explains what information Akira Digital collects when you use akiradigital.net or hire us, what we do with it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, reach out through our contact form and we'll answer.
1. Who we are
Akira Digital is a web design agency operating from Los Angeles, California. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean Akira Digital. "You" means anyone who visits akiradigital.net or engages our services.
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly
When you submit the contact form on akiradigital.net, we collect:
- Your name and your business name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (optional) and, if you check the box, your consent to receive text messages (see Text messaging)
- Your current website status and what you want the site to do
- Any additional details you include in your message
Payment information
When you purchase a package or a Design Day, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not see, store, or process your credit card or bank details — Stripe handles all payment data directly. We receive from Stripe only what we need to fulfill the order: your name, email, amount paid, and which product you purchased.
Information collected automatically
When you browse akiradigital.net, our hosting provider and analytics may automatically log:
- Your IP address and approximate geographic region
- Your browser type and operating system
- Which pages you visited and how long you stayed
- The referring URL that sent you to us
3. Why we collect it
We use the information above to:
- Respond to your inquiry and send you a quote or proposal
- Fulfill and support the services you've paid for
- Process payments and provide receipts
- Improve how our website works and understand which pages help
- Comply with our legal and tax obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use it for third-party advertising or to build profiles for anyone other than fulfilling your request.
4. Who we share it with
We share your information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only to the extent they need it to do their job:
- Vercel Inc. — hosts akiradigital.net and processes traffic logs.
- Make (Celonis) — processes contact form submissions routed through contact.akiradigital.net.
- Stripe, Inc. — processes payments for all packages and Design Day bookings.
- Google LLC (Analytics) — provides aggregate site usage analytics.
- Email providers — used to reply to your inquiry.
- Twilio Inc. — delivers the text messages you have opted in to receive.
We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or valid government request, or as needed to protect our rights, safety, or property, or those of our clients or the public.
5. Text messaging (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages — by checking the SMS consent box on our contact form, by texting or calling us first, or by asking for text updates during a consultation — Akira Digital may send you SMS messages about your inquiry, your free website review, scheduling a consultation, and updates on a project you have hired us for. Messages come from our business number and are written and sent by our team.
- Message frequency varies. Most people receive only a handful of messages related to their request; you will never receive more than a few messages per week.
- Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
- Opting out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You can also reply START to opt back in.
- Help: reply HELP to any message, email contact@akiradigital.net, or call (972) 559-0881.
- No sharing of mobile information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except for the messaging platform provider (Twilio) that delivers the messages on our behalf.
- Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchasing any service.
6. Cookies and analytics
akiradigital.net uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. These fall into two groups:
- Essential — needed for the site and the contact form to function correctly (for example, remembering that you already submitted the form so you don't see it twice).
- Analytics — help us understand which pages and content are useful, so we can improve the site.
We do not currently run email-marketing tracking, third-party advertising cookies, or cross-context behavioral advertising pixels on akiradigital.net. If that changes, we'll update this policy before we start.
You can control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you refuse cookies or delete them. Blocking essential cookies may cause parts of the site to not work.
7. How long we keep it
- Contact form submissions: up to 2 years from receipt.
- Client project files and design deliverables: up to 5 years after your project ends, so we can support you if you come back.
- Payment and tax records: as required by law (typically 7 years).
- Analytics logs: aggregated and retained per Google Analytics defaults.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see "Your rights" below).
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Ask us to stop using it for a specific purpose
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of any sale or sharing (we don't sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising), and to be free from retaliation for exercising these rights.
EU/UK residents (GDPR/UK GDPR): you have the rights above plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@akiradigital.net. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before we can act.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us — encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and vetted service providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection.
10. Children's data
Our services are for businesses and their operators — not children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be flagged prominently. Continued use of akiradigital.net after a change means you accept it.
12. How to reach us
For anything related to this policy — data requests, corrections, deletions, or questions — email contact@akiradigital.net. Postal mail on request.
